Deacons & Yokefellows Ministry

The Deacons & Yokefellows Ministry is a servant-leadership ministry within the church that supports the pastor, cares for members, assists families in need, and helps ensure the practical and spiritual needs of the congregation are met.

Purpose

The ministry exists to serve God, support the church, care for people, and help carry out the mission and vision of the congregation.

Deacons

Deacons provide spiritual leadership and compassionate care by:

  • Visiting the sick, elderly, and homebound.
  • Praying with and encouraging members.
  • Assisting the pastor with member care.
  • Helping families during times of difficulty and bereavement.
  • Supporting communion and other church ordinances.
  • Helping maintain unity and order within the congregation.
  • Providing spiritual guidance and Christian encouragement.

Yokefellows

Yokefellows serve alongside the deacons and assist with the practical needs of the church by:

  • Supporting deacons in visitation and member care.
  • Helping with transportation and special needs.
  • Assisting during worship services and church events.
  • Welcoming and helping new members.
  • Supporting outreach and community activities.
  • Providing hands-on assistance to families and church members.
